Shark Pool

Woo Hoo - It is the end of May and it is getting warm in Ohio. Today we set up our new kid pool. Claire picked a Shark Pool at Target last night and as soon as we got up this morning we started begging to set it up.

First we had to break out some tools to blow it up. Claire was happy to help pump.

Then mom got the hose and started filling. Since we have very little patience, dad added some hot water so we didn't have to wait for the sun to warm it up.

Yippee - pool time!!

After a little encouragement - I was in enjoying the pool as well. Mom made a little video of us enjoying the pool. Yippee for summer! Only 3 weeks to vacation!

Long Weekend

Happy Memorial Day! We had a great long weekend doing lots of family stuff. Mom and Dad were thrilled that by Monday night - they had finally tired Claire out and she asked to go to bed! I of course was already out like a light!

We went to Homestead Park. It is a great place with 5 different play areas for kids. Here I am driving the train.

Claire and I fed the animals in the farm play area. They were hungry. I didn't know sheep and pigs like to eat rocks!

More feeding - I really liked this area!

They had little tunnels to go from one play area to another. Mom helped me so I didn't get lost in there.

On Sunday we went to a bbq at our friend McKenna's house. My pal Greta and I enjoyed the tasty food - the bigger kids were to busy playing to eat!

On Monday we went to COSI - the science museum. The biggest kid in the family rode the unicycle and had a big smile on his face!

I liked the ocean exhibit the best. What could be better than splashing and getting wet!

Claire liked playing the instruments. This drum beats to match your heartbeat. Claire was also really brave and participated in an experiment with electricity - she didn't even mind getting shocked!

Here we are learning how to make waves. Look at Claire's big muscle!

They had an awesome play area for kids. We drove a helicopter, ambulance and ran around a huge play area. We really didn't want to leave so mom bribed us with food. It was exhausting, but we had a great time!

As you can see, Sarah is starting to talk and due to her sister's influence, turning into a princess. Below is a cute video I just had to post. Enjoy!!

My Friend Jules

Yeah, my friend Jules came to visit us this weekend! She came all the way from Canada. We had a great time playing toys, going to the park, the zoo and of course, a little shopping.

Check out our clubhouse - no grown-ups allowed!

Claire - camera shy as usual!

Let's get dirty and pretend we are cooking in the sandbox.

Mom and Sarah at the zoo. We all loved riding the carousel!

Yipee! Melissa and Jules on the carousel.

Can we go again?

Fish! We can both say the word, so it was pretty exciting.

Wow, we are all tired out from the zoo - so we had to chill out and watch a little Dora.

Hey - Let's go to the park!

Look, all 3 girls in one picture.

We had a great time visiting - come back soon!

Butterflies & Blooms

On Mother's Day we braved the rain and went to the conservatory. They are having a butterfly exhibit we have been wanting to check out.

We traveled through the rainforest, desert and mountains to see different plants.

Like my new glasses? This shows what a butterfly sees. I thought it was really cool.

Look a butterfly!

And another!

By far the best part of the trip was splashing in the puddles and getting wet. Good times! Who needs beautiful plants and exhibits when you can just splash.

We fed the fish at the Koi Pond - they didn't seem very hungry, but they were quite fat!

Dad and I climbed a treehouse to wave to Mom and Sarah.

We did actually stand still to look at the butterflies for a minute or two. Then it was off to lunch. Happy Mother's Day Mom!

Ballet Class

Yahooo! It is finally time for ballet class to start. I have been asking to go to dance class for months now. I got all dressed up in my pink tutu and black ballet shows. Sarah had to stay home with dad because she wasn't feeling well. I told her she can do ballet when she is 3 like me.

My teacher is Miss Kelsey and she is really nice. I am the only on in my class (likely because it is right at dinner time!) so it's like I have private lessons.

Look at my moves! Graceful or what!

Learning how to do 'pizza feet'

Can we get hyper and jump around now???
Below is a little clip of my class...I am exhausted, but can't wait until next week! Gotta go practice my moves!

My Weekend

Sarah's guide to the weekend......

First, get your sister to give you a makeover. A girl's gotta look good for the weekend.

Second, get dressed up. You just never know when a prince will show up.

Three, practice walking in heels. Shows that are about 6 sizes too big seem to work for me.

Four, play with dad.

Five, get a hug from mom.

Six, supervise whatever project mom is making dad work on. Today we put a new garden in the backyard to grow some of those green things I don't like to eat.

Seven, get mom to fix and kiss your boo-boo's. I got my first cut today when I tripped on the driveway. It hurt, but i was really brave getting it cleaned up.

Finally, it is important to eat during the weekend so you have energy to keep going and going and going. Watch as I demonstrate my cooking techniques.

Thanks for checking in on my weekend. Thank goodness tomorrow is Monday - I gotta get some rest!
