I Got My Ears Pierced!!

Well I finally did it! Mom offered to let me get my ears pierced when I turned 4, but I wasn't sure about it. After getting a jewelery box for Christmas I decided I was ready.

I got cute gold studs so now I really do look like a princess. Claire is convinced that doves will come land at her window now just like they do for Cinderella. There were no tears. She was very brave and just held my hand.

After six weeks I can change them. I chose unicorns and some jeweled flowers for my first new earrings. Beautiful!!

Visiting with Grandma & Grandpa C

Grandpa & Grandma C came to visit us for Christmas next. Again we got spoiled! Aunt Michelle & Uncle Steve sent down this present for my birthday (thanks!!)

We got Grandma & Grandpa doing all sorts of things they don't normally do.

Grandpa is really good at play-doh.

And Grandma is really good at playing Barbies.

In exciting news, I can read my first book with no help. I had to read it to everyone!

Enough snow melted that we could go outside and use my scooter and bike.

Look - Grandma was outside in January!

We got awesome new chairs for a present!

Ratchet decided to get in on the fun.

I got my very own two wheel bike - just like Claire. It is princess as well! Now I really am a big girl.

And a princess.

Cheese!

While mom and grandma went shopping, dad and grandpa played mousetrap with us. It was awesome fun, although some were happier than others with the outcome. Check out the video below!

Thanks for coming to visit - we had a great time!!

Visiting with Grandma & Grandpa T

Since we stayed home this year, both sets of Grandparents made the long trek down to see us.
We couldn't wait to show off the newest member of the family.

Ratchet is adjusting well and loves playing with our toys.

Grandpa & Grandma T had fun visiting with us.

And of course we got spoiled with presents. Grandma even painted us our very own pictures to hang in our rooms. We love them!

Sarah with her picture.

After getting paintings, we decided to create some art of our own.

Relaxing. Thanks for coming down to visit us!

Food Challenge

Claire is fond of telling me she isn't afraid of anything. So when I told her she was afraid to try new foods, she was eager to prove me wrong.

I set up the food challenge to get her to try new things. We cooked up some salmon, chicken breast stuffed with broccoli, hard boiled egg and mashed potatoes. My kids will not eat any form of potatoes and it drives me crazy.

Claire wasn't sure about this, but eager to prove she wasnt' scared she did try everything.

Looks like potatoes won't be making it to the menu anytime soon.

Finished! She liked the chicken and the egg and agreed to try another food challenge with new menu items.

Sarah's turn. Really not enjoying this mouthful of salmon.

Potatoes not bad.

Again, egg and chicken declared the winners.

Yeah it's over - can I have a treat now?
