Happy Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend. Uncle Trevor & Aunt Renate came to visit us and so did the Easter Bunny!

Claire had fun trying out her new Wizard Magic Science kit and making things fuzz and foam.

After properly decorating her wizard hat of course.

We ate candy, more candy and then some marshmallow treats as well.

Mmmmm...sugar!

When the rain finally broke we went outside. Renate made us these awesome dandelion crowns.

Now we really look like princesses.

We also learned how to make fancy decorated Easter Eggs.

And of course we dyed eggs. It was lots of fun. Happy Easter!

Adventureland

Claire has been asking to visit the Adventureland Exhibit at the science museum for a while now. I figured it was a little old for her so I at least wanted two parents there in case I wasn't smart enough to solve the clues alone. Good thing - it did take two of us :-)
We decided the day after her birthday was a great time to visit.

It was like an Indiana Jones type atmosphere. You had to find your way through a maze first to find clues then enter them to make a statute sing.

Sarah was easily distracted finding fossils.

After Mom & Claire braved the lasers, Dad and Sarah braved the secret doors we found our clues.

We found the answer to level 1. However we were all too tired to attempt level 2.
We all had a great time - mission accomplished.

Juice!

Last week Mom found a great deal and bought Dad a juicer. He has wanted one for a while and we figured it would be a good way to drink healthy when he doesn't feel like eating. Also a good way for mom to use some of her garden veggies.

First up, grapefruit juice. Yum! It tasted soooo much better than the stuff from the store.

Claire is not so sure about grapefruit juice.

Second attempt: carrot juice. We loved it - very smooth. The girls gave it a so/so rating. It came in very handy this morning when I made carrot / orange muffins for lunch.

Attempt 3: We have a winner. Fresh apple juice! What a shocker.

Happy Birthday Claire!!

Hard to believe but Claire turns 6 this week. We had a birthday sleepover / celebration this weekend with the two April birthday girls. Claire wanted a fireworks birthday cake thanks to Katy Perry.

We had a nice little fire last night and roasted marshmallows.

Yum-O!

Today the girls put on their finest dresses, in pink of course and we headed to Sweet & Sassy for makeovers.

We got our hair done with sparkle spray, our nails done and some makeup!

Looking beautiful girls!

Then we made our own lip gloss. Surprise we all picked pink with sparkles!

Ready for the catwalk!

Sweet & Sassy!

Happy Birthday Claire!
