Fingerpaints!

Hmmm..It is cold and windy outside so what can we do? I know, let's teach my sister how to fingerpaint!!! I am an old pro at fingerpainting. I have been doing it since i was 6 months old!

See, I am an expert in ensuring proper colour coverage all over the hands! Let's see how Sarah did.

She started with a few dots on the page, followed by a few fingers in the mouth.

Yeah, this is fun!

Copying Claire.

Making a handprint.

Getting creative.

Let's eat a little more of this.

Okay - time to hit the bath. That was fun!

Cabin Fever Reliever

We were all sick of being couped up in the house so last Friday we headed over to the conservatory to see the flowers and feel some warm air. They were having an orchid show so mom was really excited as well. We had a great time smelling flowers and looking at all the great displays.

Is it spring yet mom????

January Activites

Well it is winter and Sarah and I have had to amuse ourselves indoors a lot more than we would like. We have been trying new foods and learning to play together. Of course, I am already gearing up for Valentine's Day - do you like my new shirt?

Look - I am actually eating some tomato sauce! I have also been trying meat which seems to make mom and dad really happy.

Sarah loves spaghetti! She even gets some of it in her mouth!

Sarah's first timbit. I am a pro at timbits so I was happy to show her how.

Awww...getting bigger everyday!

One of our favorite activities is playing in the cupboards and taking everything out. We aren't very good at putting it back in yet.

There has been a little snow - dad built me this cool snow chair.

Then I got put to work with the shovel!
January has been fun, but we are looking forward to spring!

Walking and Eating

Now that I am 1 year old I am learning new things everyday! I have mastered walking and I am attempting to eat with a spoon. As you can see I already do a great job - hardly any mess! Enjoy the movies!

First Steps for Sarah

I took my first steps almost a month ago, but I have been a little tentative with walking. This week I decided it was time to get moving. Of course, Mom and Dad are videoing everything! Check out my new moves below.

Go Canada Go!

Woo Hoo! The Canadian World Junior Championships were on last week and Canada took the gold - again. This is the 4th Gold in a row for Canada. They have been golden since before I was born. Am I good luck or what!

Sarah and I took turns wearing our lucky Canada toque to cheer on the game. We beat Sweden in the finals.

The best part of winning is that I get to practice singing O'Canada everytime they win. I can sing the first verse all by myself now.

Next year the tournament is in Ottawa - maybe Santa will bring us tickets?

My First Birthday!

Yahoo - I am 1 year old. Mom said this year had gone too quickly. Being a Christmas baby is great - I saw all my family, had a great party and got 3 birthday cakes! I could get used to this!

Am I the cutest or what!

I finally got my very own chair! Yeah, now Claire and I don't have to wrestle each other!

My birthday party was great. We had friends, family, cake and presents. What more could a kid ask for?

I think Claire was more excited for my party than I was. But then again, she has this cake thing figured out already.

Yeah, I am one. Keep singing everybody, I like it!

Aunt Michelle got me my very own Teddy Bear cake to eat. It was awesome!

Boys and sugar....need I say more?

A week of presents and celebrations are finally over. Of course, by the very last present I had to open I finally got interested in ripping paper and opening presents. Mom thought that was quite funny. Year #2 here I come!

Thomas Family Christmas

Another Christmas! Can you believe we had a whole week of Christmas parties, visits, cake and presents. Geez, I am gonna need some beauty rest when we get home.

Here is Dave holding Sarah - he seems like a natural to me! Are you free for babysitting?

We thrilled everyone with our excellent piano skills.

Cake #3 - Am I spoiled rotten or what!

Thanks for hosting us Uncle Stu and Aunt Barb. We had a great time and used up the last remaining energy reserves we had! Mom and Dad enjoyed the remarkably quiet drive home.

My Pal Jules

Finally! I have been waiting forever to get to Toronto to play with my friend Jules. Talking on the phone just isn't good enough mom! Jules and I are only 2 months apart and we loved kissing and playing with each other.

Kiss!

The girls - Merry Christmas!

Another kiss!

Birthday Cake #2 - thanks Melissa, Rob and Jules for hosting us. We had a great time and would have loved to stay and play longer!

Christmas at Grandma & Grandpa's

After a very long drive, during which we were too excited to sleep, we arrived in Canada!! Yeah, more Christmas!

First we stopped to visit Uncle Trevor and Aunt Renate and her very nice parents. I got to play with a very nice puppy and of course, open more presents.

Finally, Christmas morning. More presents!!

A family picture under the tree. Awww.

The cousins under the tree.

King and Queen of the prom! My awesome cousin Travis is so nice to me and even plays dress-up with me!

I got all dressed up to sing everyone some christmas carols.

Then I fell asleep - Christmas is exhausting!

Of course, Sarah had no shortage of snuggles and kisses.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great Christmas! We had lots of fun and I am already bugging mom to come visit again soon!
