Ballet Dance Party

Every Tuesday we have been going to a playgroup at the mall. Each week they have a new activity - storytime, sing-along etc. Well this week the Columbus Ballet came - oh, I was so excited last night I just couldn't get to sleep!

First, it was time to play.

Time to warm-up, dancing is hard work.

Okay, a little more playtime.

As you can see, I have been dressing up at home and practicing.

I wanted to wear my dress, but decided not to at the last minute.

Look at me!! Ballet class. Of course I stood right beside the dancer and followed her everywhere.

We sang songs, danced and I learned lots of new moves.

What a great time. I can't take a ballet class until I am 3, but that is only 228 days away!

Learning About Canada

Can you believe I am 8 months old already! I am gearing up for that birthday party. Well I have been busy growing and learning new things. Lately I have been learning about Canada, let me share a few things.

My family lives in Canada.

The flag has a maple leaf on it.

Canadians like to drink Tim Horton's coffee.

A lot of coffee - mmmm, yummy.

There is a lot to do outdoors in Canada, like eat grass.

Now, if only it would cool down a little so I could learn about winter things like hockey!

Chores? No Way..

Dad was washing his car, and I thought that looked like fun... First you dip the broom into the bucket...

Then you sweep soapy bubbles all over the car!!

You can also use the big glove.. Remember Mr Miyagi's words of wisdom - "Wax on - Wax off"

The best part is using the hose to spray off the car...

Wiggles Live!!!!

Wow!!! Today mom and dad took us girls to see the Wiggles Live! It was so awesome!! I was too excited to take a nap before the show so mom and dad were a little worried. But no problems, I brought out all my best dance moves, clapped and cheered the whole show. The Wiggles performed all my favorites including Fruit Salad, Big Red Car, Twinkle Twinkle, Mary had a little lamb and Hot Potato.

Oh mom, this is so cool! My first concert!

Dorothy the dinosaur, Wags the dog, Henry the octopus and my personal fav Captain Feathersword were all there. That Captain is sooooo silly!


I even had a 'little' snack during the show. It is hard to eat, dance and sing all at once!

Thanks for a great show Wiggles! Sarah and I are both exhausted!

Markers!

The other day I talked my mom into buying me some markers. I love them! I can spend an hour just taking the lids on and off, coloring and generally making a mess. Good thing they are washable!




Thanks for the markers mom, can I have some scissors now?

A New Perspective

Yeah, I can sit up. I mastered this new skill over the past week. It is really fun, I have a new perspective on the world and I can play with all sorts of new toys.

I love to play the guitar. It is my favorite toy right now! Only 2 more weeks until we see Wiggles Live!!!

The Neighbourhood Park

Since we are home with mom now we spend lots of time going for walks and we usually end up at the local park. We love to play on the swings and slides. I am trying to learn not to walk in front of other swingers and how to make new friends. Yipppee!

Hmmm, I think it is time for a haircut!

Sarah really loves to swing - she is going to be the daredevil!

I also have a new hobby. Mom bought me a gluestick and I love to spend time glueing pictures and coupons on paper. I even make grocery lists for mom of all the things I want to buy!
