This weekend we attended our first race at Mid-Ohio. Well, we attended qualifying and watched a some of a LeMans series race.
We met up with a few of our Honda friends which made the day much better. We watched racecars for all of 10 minutes, then it was time to play.
Our friends Dillon, Owen and McKenna sat with us and luckily McKenna brought colouring books!
After qualifying Dad bought us these awesome new shirts that we couldn't stop talking about all day! Of course we both picked Danica shirts because she is our favorite. You can't really read Sarah's, but it says 'Girls Rule'
Look, we did actually see a few racecars.
Mom brought lots of snacks to keep us occupied.
After watching some racing we decided to take a tour through the paddock. We were looking for the 'good' bathrooms because the girls are not fans of outhouses. We thought the paddock was really cool! We saw racecars up close and even a few drivers.
We are now experts at finding every picture or sign of Danica. Here we are in front of her trailer. We even got this random Ganassi team member to pose with us and act silly!
Look who we found! Of course Paul Tracey was willing to pose with a bunch of Canadians! Mom was quite excited about this - I was still looking for those clean bathrooms.
After all excitement, Sarah was exhausted and fell asleep while walking back to the car. We had a great time and are looking forward to going back soon. They are their mother's daughters - Claire is hanging her first racing poster in her room - because it has Danica on it of course! Sarah is hanging a Graham Rahal poster - not for the driver, but because he is sponsored by McDonalds.
