What Do Your Kids Do On Lazy Afternoons?

Mine like to look at bugs under the microscope.

Claire found some cicada shells - the shell they leave behind after molting and getting wings. So of course her first thought was to get out the microscope and check them out.

Very interesting. After giving it an examination and dissection the fun was over.

Next task: Catch a live cicada, have Dad freeze it so we can check out one with wings.
