Poutine.

This is Sarah reporting in with another special edition.

My Dad had been mumbling about craving some sort of French-Canadian dish you can get from any respectable street vendor in Canada. It's called poutine. Well, since we can't get it down here, Dad decided to make it himself. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for that deep-fryer.

The recipe is simple, as I understand it, it has to be really bad for you to make it taste so-so good.

You will need to deep fry some thick, home-style French fries. Don't even bother with trying to use the pre-cut, store bought fries in a bag nonsense. Make sure to deep fry your own, because you need to salt them right after they come out fryer. This way the hot grease to holds onto the salt. Next, cover the hot salty, greasy fries with gravy, top with cheese curds, and if you desire - ketchup.

Unfortunately we didn't have cheese curds so we just used shredded cheese. Dad made up for it by making the beef gravy come alive with some cheap red wine called two-buck chuck. Here's the finished product... Guaranteed to clog your arteries.

And here's my assessment.
