Well the reminents of Hurricane Ike passed through on Sunday making things pretty windy around here. We were one of the lucky neighborhoods that didn't lose power. Sarah had fun feeling the wind, Claire didn't like it at all.
With the wind damage and trees down all over the place we have been sticking close to home this week. Our friend Jordan is visiting from California so we have been having lots of fun with him. Mom tried to explain to us why the library and McDonalds are closed - no power. I still don't understand why I can't get a milkshake!
Since there are no milkshakes to be found, we settled for a picnic dinner in the backyard. Mom figured eating outside would be a good warm-up for our upcoming camping trip.
