Kentucky Day 2 - Mammoth Cave

After Dinosaur World we headed over to Mammoth Cave for a picnic and cave tour. We amused ourselves with the camera while awaiting tour time.

It was really fun underground. Nice and cool and very dark. It was hard to get good pictures, but the cave is over 4,000 years old and covers over 7.5 miles underground.

Little did we know it was a 2 hour tour - at nap time. Mom and Dad were a little worried, but we assured them we could make it.

The cave really was mammoth! Some of the caverns are huge and them some spaces are very small. Above is us navigating 'fat man's misery' a tight little spot.

Good thing we don't suffer from any phobias. There were some great stories about how the cave was made, ghost stories and even a giant's coffin.

Needless to say after 2 hours we were all tuckered out. Some more than others.
We had a great time in Kentucky!
